Some flu symptoms to watch for are:

• High fever
• Muscular aches and pain to the touch
• Extremely tired and weak
• Sore throat
• Accompanied with a dry cough
• Stuffy or runny nose
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea

*Many children experience these symptoms with viral illnesses or colds but flu symptoms are much more intense.

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC):

“The flu can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death.”

This is not to scare you but 114 children died during the 2010-11 flu season (winter).
